OFFICERS NEEDED

We are seeking qualified candidates to fill the following positions on the Northern Illinois Chapter: ARN board: President-Elect, Chapter Secretary, and two Chapter Directors (Board of Directors) for the term of office beginning July 1, 2007. What does the President-Elect do? 
 
This position is a three-year commitment: one year as President-Elect, the next year as President, and the third year as past President. The responsibilities include presiding at all the meetings of the Board and the Chapter. This position serves as a training ground for the office of President. You will become familiar with a leadership role through mentoring and sharing of responsibilities.

What does the Secretary do? 
This position is a two-year commitment. The responsibilities include recording minutes of all meetings of the Board and the Chapter, maintaining chapter records, and distributing notices and agendas.

What does a Board Member do?
This position is a two-year commitment. The responsibilities include presiding and participating in the management decision making on behalf of and for the benefit of the chapter, supporting and helping to implement decisions of the Board.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE

ARN offers financial assistance in the form of two $1000 scholarships to nurses working toward a BSN. Scholarship eligibility requirement include:

Ø       Membership in ARN

Ø       Enrollment in a BSN program in good standing and successful completion of at least one course

Ø       Current practice in rehab nursing

Ø       A minimum of two years experience in rehab nursing

SPOTLIGHT FACILITY OF THE MONTH

Would you like your facility to receive exposure through our website? Well, now it is possible. NIARN is accepting applications to post information about your facility on this website. You can post description of the facility, job opportunities available, and photos (no patient photos please) on the site for an entire month! The cost would be $25 for programs costing $60 or more.  Programs under $60 are free.  Contact us through this website if you are interested or have other questions.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

If you have an upcoming educational opportunity that you would like publicized on please contact us through this website. NIARN will run the information until the program has taken place for a fee of $25.
