This position oversees department activities through managing daily

2 yrs related exp., IL RN License, CPR, Bachelors Degree, Professional

provides our nursing teams with the opportunity to stay

rehabilitation. As a
member of Marianjoy’s care team, our nurses take a holistic
approach toward rehabilitation, focusing on the total needs of
each patient – body, mind, and spirit.
The Nursing Unit Manager mentors and
facilitates the development and accountability of nursing staff,
recommends care plans, strives for ultimate team effectiveness,
and manages in a participatory manner by involving staff in the
department decision-making process while incorporating the needs
of staff, patients, and goals of nursing
The Nursing Unit Manager also develops
performance plans, conducts unit meetings, identifies
educational needs of the nursing staff, and develops and
implements annual education plans in conjunction with the
Director of Professional Practice.

Qualifications
|
-
Illinois Professional Nurse License is required
- BSN
or Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Master’s degree preferred
- CRRN
is required or must be obtained as soon as possible

Three to five years of progressive management experience
including budget administration, staff supervision, and
staffing
-
Understanding of Professional Standards of Practice and
licensing requirements, as well as JCAHO, CARF, and IDPH
regulations
