Welcome to the Illinois Chapter - Association of
Rehabilitation Nurses The Northern Illinois Chapter of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses is a local chapter whose international parent organization represents Rehabilitation Nurses who specialize in working with persons with actual or potential physical disabilities. Rehabilitation nurses provide comfort and therapy, promote health conducive adjustments, support adaptive capabilities, and promote achievable independence. NIARN believes every individual has worth and dignity. We believe that recipients of rehabilitation health care services have the right to receive professional nursing care of the highest quality. As an organization, we support these beliefs by offering a wide range of activities that help develop professional skills of our nurse members. Our members come from a variety of practice settings: general hospitals, home healthcare operations, rehabilitation and long-term care facilities, insurance companies, educational institutions, and private consulting companies.
