NIARN Board Meeting

Minutes:
1. Minutes from the previous
meeting were approved as written.
2. Treasurer Jo Bestmann
reports $3472.46 is the treasury.
3. Irene T. had printed
copies of Best Practices for Falls Reduction: A Practical Guide.
This had a series of articles on falls and she passed these out to
board members present.
4. Carolyn and Merry visited the
Wellness Center at Good Sam and a new date was selected based on
members and speakers availability, for JUNE 16, 2011, 8 A.M. TO
1630. Irene condensed the objectives down to a manageable number,
and should have plenty of time to get the application done for INA
and contact hour approval. Food plans will be done by Carolyn and
her secretary, which will include a continental breakfast and box
lunch. Merry will redo the brochure, and email it out to all board
members and for Tess to post on the website for NIARN. Merry will
obtain folders and pens. Diane will revise the letter to vendors and
with vendors already secured, we will have to change the date. For
speakers, it is asked that you e-mail your power point to Irene by
June 1. Each speaker is responsible to print out copies of their
power points to hand out or place into the folders.
5.
Current vendors secured include Posey & ARJO.
6. Our next
board meeting will be held May 6,2011 at 1330 at the Cheesecake
Factory.
